H-1B positions certified: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. A certified position is the most the company may fill under that filing, not a hire, and it includes renewals and transfers. Layoffs are company-wide announcements and can include workers outside the U.S.
Layoffs, October 2025 to June 2026
- California WARN notices filed in April 2026, effective May and June, cover roughly 120 to 160 workers in San Diego. Trackers' counts differ, so Qualcomm is left out of the layoff ratio ranking.

What this doesn't show
- That any visa worker replaced any laid-off worker. No public data links the two.
- Hires. Certified positions and visas issued are steps before or around hiring, not head counts.
- Immigration status. “Foreign-born” includes naturalized citizens, green card holders and others.
